The goal of the MA Program in "Performing Arts" (PAT) is to conduct research analysis and theoretical study of performing arts across a broad variety of themes and historical periods, from antiquity to the present. This offers three specializations and a wide range of Modules to provide students the chance to take a critical, in-depth look at the subject.
The three specializations that the Modules lead to are based on subject content from several performing arts disciplines, including performance studies, global and ancient theater, dance history and theory, lyric theater, and modern performance forms. In addition, topics like education, cultural policy and administration, and information technology are covered that are closely related to the performing arts and culture in general.
